I was delighted when
a friend of mine told me she was going to be flying in from London to Vegas for
the weekend. It was then up to me to fine a club that would be appropriate for
such a fabulous lady. I was looking for a club that was exclusive, classy and fun. XS Club was
voted in the top 100 nightclubs for the past 6 years, so I thought that it would be rude not to put it to the test.
Let
me give you a bit of information on just how fabulous this club is. It was designed with warm gold and brown fabrics to create a plush and exclusive
atmosphere. Small and large tables with couches line the club and dance floor. The club opens up to an adult pool where there are more tables
and cabanas to hire. There is a casino in the club just so you do not for get
that you are in Vegas and the DJ can be seen for anywhere in the club. You can spend as little or as much as you like in
this club and still have a fabulous time. Table’s range anywhere from $3,000
upward depending on table service you want, and if you have a spare $10,000 for a drink,
yes that’s right $10,000 for one DRINK, I've heard it will get you a mix
of Remy Martin Louis XIII Black Pearl cognac, Charles Heidsieck 1981 Champagne ‘Reserve
Charlie’, fresh squeezed orange juice, with a sence rose nectar and apricot puree. It's
served in a jewelled champagne flute. (Not sure if you get to keep the
flute or not) Oh and lets not forget a Tahitian black pearl pendant on an 18-karat
white gold necklace, as a little memento. It’s a shame I don’t have a spare
$10,000 because that sounds like a nice drink and I need a new necklace.
So satisfied that
this was the right establishment to entertain my friend, I asked my lovely husband
for some help. He talked to some people he knew and we were put on the guest list with no waiting or entrance fee. He also happened to know someone who had
a small table at the club that night and was happy for us to join them. This was turning
out to be the perfect clubbing experience for my precious’s friend and all for free.
So my lovely girlfriend
steps off of an eleven hour flight and walked in to the Wynn casino looking a
million dollars, where she found me dressed to impress at the craps table.
We were let into the club hassle free. The club was fairly empty at 11pm so we walked out to the pool area were we bought a
drink. My husband spotted the casino area and we headed
for the craps table. There was a brilliant buzz outside in the club and around the
craps table. I love craps so this just made a game I enjoy even more fun, and
with pumping music. What I loved the best was when our feet started to hurt my
friend and I sat cooling our feet in the pool
and drinking champagne, (granted it was not a ‘Reserve Charlie’ but such is
life.) The DJ was rolling out the tunes and everyone including us could not
stay still.
After a fun time outside we decided it was time to find my husbands friend and join him inside at
his table. However this was not that easy. We joined a line of people wanting
to get inside from the pool but the bouncer was not letting anyone in. We
explained that we had a table inside and showed him our double stamp that gave
us access, but he told us to step back. We could see that there was no reasoning
with this man, and decided to leave the XS club and walk back around to the club
entrance in the Wynn where we first entered. The lady on the door didn’t
understand why we had not been let in on the other side and waved us through.
Once back inside we found the table. The club was packed and everyone was
dancing. There were girls dancing on the couches and our table was full of
vodka and mixers. There was a great vibe and brilliant tunes being played. It was a really good night and I would recommend it to anyone, even if we did need
to leave the club just to get back in again.
