Full summary:
The SLS Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is located at the far end of the Las Vegas Strip in Winchester, Nevada and is owned by SBE Entertainment and Stockbridge Real Estate. Formerly known as the Sahara Hotel and Casino for 59 years from 1952 to 2011. The hotel had 1,720 guest rooms and suites. The property was renovated and reopened in August 2014, the reservations cost$415 million.
We arrived early to the hotel and the check in
desk tried to find us a room immediately but couldn’t. We did not have to wait
long, maybe an hour before we received a call telling us that a room was ready.
I liked the décor of the hotel it was trendy and edgy. I think the designers
who designed this hotel décor must have had a lot of fun. The TV’s behind
reception showing abstract moving art were very cool. I loved the monkey and
chandelier theme throughout. The hotel, like all of Vegas was clean, tidy and
new looking. The staff in the convenience shop downstairs was welcoming and
really friendly.
Our room was super edgy and I loved the style.
We only stayed one night but I have no complaints. My only comments would be
that this hotel is more of a young persons hotel and maybe not for families.
During the day you can hear the music from the pool party but this did not
bother us. Also you are at the far end of the strip, but with the monorail this
shouldn’t be that much of a problem. There are also a few more hotels being
built and renovated at this end of the strip, so in a few years there will be
more down that end. I would stay there again.
